How secure is my data?

For Anionu security means two things - your video is reliably stored so it is there when you need it, and it is protected from unauthorized access and modification at all times. All connections to anionu.com are secured using industry standard 256-bit SSL encryption - the same level of encryption used by leading banks. Our state-of-the-art servers are protected by biometric locks and round-the-clock interior and exterior surveillance monitoring. We also protect your account against hackers and brute force attacks by blocking access for a period of 5 minutes after 3 failed login attempts. You can also specify notification alerts on the Events page of your dashboard that will notify you when there is a failed login attempt to your account.

Is our data backed up in case of an emergency?

Data is backed up nightly and written to multiple disks instantly as soon as it is synchronized. We can perform full backup recovery in the event of a system-wide emergency. Our hardware is also fully redundant so even if one disk or server fails nothing will be lost and the system will not go down. Our uptime is over 99%.

Are there any hidden fees associated upgrading, downgrading or canceling the account?

Absolutely not. When you do business with Anionu you won't find any hidden fees or catches of any kind. We don’t charge signup fees, termination fees, or any additional fees. The price you pay is simply the fixed monthly fee based on the plan you've chosen.

How does your refund policy work?

Anionu is a month-to-month, pay-as-you-go service so we don’t provide refunds. You are billed every month for the service. You can cancel the service at any time and you won’t be charged again, but you are responsible for any charges already incurred.

How many cameras can I use simultaneously?

This depends on what plan you have chosen. If you have chosen the Free plan you can use up to 9. If you have chosen a Corporate plan you can use up to 99 cameras simultaneously.

How much processing power does Anionu require?

Real-time motion detection and video encoding is an complex process which requires a decent amount of processing power, especially if you are running multiple cameras. However, A low end desktop PC should be able to run 9 cameras without breaking too much of a sweat.

What happens if the power goes out?

If you intend to run continuous unattended surveillance for any period of time, you should definitely invest in an uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

One of these handy gadgets will maintain uninterrupted power to your computer until the power is turned back on.

Can I cancel my account?

Anionu is month to month with no contracts, so you are free to cancel your account at any time.

What is SSL and will it keep my communications absolutely secure?

The protocol allows Anionu to securely communicate in a way that is designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, or communications forgery. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions. In Anionu's case, SSL keeps your client communications absolutely secure (Anionu's normal password protection keeps your information private, but SSL keeps it private and secure).
