Version 1.0

What is Spot?

Spot is desktop software that turns your computer and capture devices, such as webcam or surveillance capture board, into a powerful digital surveillance system. It operates in conjunction with the Anionu.com web service to enable you to preform complex remote surveillance tasks using standard computer and mobile phone technology.

Spot is a vital part of the Anionu.com service, because it provide a localized interface for you to administer your cameras (see image above) and configure important surveillance settings such as camera sensitivities and how you interact with the web service.

Spot synchronizes videos, logs, event and statistics data with your online account automatically or at your request, providing you with fail safe backups and secure global access to your important surveillance data. Spot also incorporates an advanced motion detection algorithm, which detects motion on your cameras and records videos high quality mp4 videos which can be viewed via your mobile phone or remote computer.

Although Spot is simple and easy to use, innovation lies at the heart of this software. Spot is what we call 'human software'; built with a user-centric design philosophy in mind.

Is it secure?

Spot speaks to the master server using industry standard 256-bit SSL encryption - the same level of encryption used by the American government and leading banks. All synchronized data is written to multiple disks instantly, backed up daily, and stored in multiple locations. Our state-of-the-art servers are protected by biometric locks and round-the-clock interior and exterior surveillance monitoring.

Do I need it?

Spot is the glue that ties the Anionu.com web service together; one can not be used properly without the other. All the surveillance statistics, videos, logs and events on your account dashboard are synchronized from a Spot client. Spot provides the localized interface for your surveillance cameras, while the web service provides secure remote access and functionality.
